Me, an innocent little hermit crab,
Looking for a new snug shelter to grab.
I search the dunes of sand, high and low,
Looking for a home that can bear a blow.
Not very long I spy a dog,
And wedge into the crevice of a log.
Me, an innocent little hermit crab,
Looking for a new snug shelter to grab.
I set out with energy anew,
With my pincers out in view.
I see a seagull soaring high,
That made me give an exasperated sigh.
I crept into a crushed cola can,
Which was as hot as a pan.
Me, an innocent little hermit crab,
Found a new home to dab.
Cling clang ! That’s me all alone,
Making music with my claws in my new metal home.
