Let me tell you about my favourite toy, the Surf skate. It is similar to a skate board. It has a nose and a tail like a surf board. It also has four wheels like the skate board but they are bigger and their board is a little elevated. I like to surf skate because it is fun and sometimes it feels like I am really in the ocean. Oh yes, if you do not know me.. I am a surfer. Surfing is my favourite sport and I love to be in water. I like the surf skate because it gives me a type of adventurous thrill even though it is not as good as surfing. But the advantage is, I can enjoy that feel even when I am not by the beach.
The surf skate helps me to understand surfing techniques better. I learn to turn, get balance and increase my speed. Since the surf skate can be used on land, I can practice it everyday. I am getting better at surfing after using the surf skate. Surf skates are designed to mimic the feel of surfing, on land. It is the closest experience you can get to gliding down a wave.
I use the surf skate in a skate park. There are many ramps and slopes on which I can turn, go up and down a ramp. In the skate park, there is a lot more space to skate around freely and practise my turns. I like to try turning on the ramps as it is very exciting to try something brave. Many skaters come to the skate park, so I get to learn new techniques from them.
It is important to wear the safety gears like the helmet, kneepads and elbow pads. Without these it is not safe to skate. If you do not wear these and fall down, you can get hurt very badly. You can also get a fracture.
The surf skate is easier to control than the skate board because you just need to put pressure on your feet and learn to turn. But in the skateboard there are more complicated steps.
I think my classmates would also like the surf skate because they always think surfing is very fun when they hear my surfing experience. But they are too scared to try in the ocean. So instead, they can try the surf skate to experience the similar adrenalin rush. So that is why the surf skate is the most thrilling and my favourite toy!
