Recycling is the process of converting waste materials into new materials and objects.
The benefits of recycling are
Reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills.
conserves natural resources
Prevents pollution and saves energy.
There are two types of recycling: Internal and External.
In internal recycling, the waste products from manufacturing processes are reused within the same factory.
In external recycling, people collect recyclable materials and send them to the recycling facility, where they are sorted and sold to Industries that make new products from these.
I shall tell you about the 3 R's and how hey can be applied at home.
The 3 R's are – reduce, reuse and recycle
Reduce is about reducing the amount of waste we produce everyday. When we reduce, we eliminate the need to reuse or recycle.
• Metal Straws- can be used instead of plastic straws, which end up polluting our oceans.
• Reusable Water Bottle- helps reduce the amount of plastic being used.
Reuse is about reusing a product in a more efficient way.
• Cloth Napkins can be used instead of tissues
• Take a shopping bag when you go for shoppin.
Recycle When you can't reduce or reuse a product, recycle it!
Some examples of recyclable materials include
• Newspapers
• Plastic
• Glass
In this research, I found out that recycling is very important. It reduces pollution of air, water, and land. It also conserves the natural resources, as we can reuse existing products made from these resources.
